Uche Fuels Comfortable Palace Victory at Shelbourne.
Despite embarking on their first-ever continental adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Missing key figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding win that virtually guarantees them a place in the Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further three points in their upcoming match against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to secure straight entry to the knockout stages, particularly following a prior setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Opportunity
This occasion offered a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning after arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a clinical finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second consecutive succession.
A Shelbourne team that had concluded their domestic season were outmatched against a largely second-string Palace lineup. The visitors were already depleted by the news that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with leg problems.

Youngster Adam Wharton went close soon after, driving a long-range shot over the bar. Nketiah then claimed for a penalty after bursting into the area, but the referee waved away the appeals.
The formerArsenal man did not have wait long to find his goal, prodding home from a yard out after Uche's effort had hit the post.
The home side were clinging on for dear life. Defender Kameron Ledwidge was fortunate to escape a booking for a couple of robust challenges on Yeremy Pino, before Chris Richards struck the crossbar with a powerful header from a corner.
Pino Seals the Contest
The match was as good as over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past some weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring with his very first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
